The $150 Billion Breakup: When Billionaires Fight, Your Wallet Hurts...

BS of the Week:
The Great Distraction.

This week was like watching a divorced couple fight over who gets to keep the country in the settlement. What likely triggered this Twitter tantrum? The bill cuts EV subsidies that line Elon’s pockets. Or the black eye…

Meanwhile, Trump fired back with the political equivalent of "you can't sit with us," and Tesla stock nosedived 14%, erasing $150 billion. That's real money vaporizing while these two billionaires have a very public breakup. This is better than Too Hot to Handle, but far more predictable.

But here's the BS part: This whole circus is covering up the actual heist happening in broad daylight.

While everyone's watching Elon and Trump throw digital haymakers, Congress quietly passed heritage tax exemptions worth $30 million for the ultra-wealthy. And let's not forget that Trump-affiliated crypto projects have generated at least $300 million in trading fees since January, helping boost the Trump family’s net worth by $2.9 billion (whilst $MELANIA coin has lost 95% of its value).

The real story: While America argues about Medicaid cuts that could kill 51,000 people annually, the wealthy are getting tax-free windfalls and running crypto schemes that would make Bernie Madoff blush.

This isn't fiscal conservatism. It's a masterclass in misdirection, get the peasants fighting over scraps while the oligarchs raid the treasury. The house always wins, and right now, the house is owned by people who tweet their way out of accountability.

Bottom line: When billionaires fight publicly, check your wallet. Someone's about to pick your pocket while you're watching the show.

Let's talk about Rolex... You probably have heard of them...

Rolex didn't just "capitalize" on Carlos Alcaraz's epic clay-court thriller; they orchestrated a masterclass in real-time brand activation. While most brands were still figuring out how to spell "Alcaraz," Rolex already had every possible outcome of this 5-hour, 29-minute gladiator match planned out. The moment that final forehand landed, boom, "The crown is yours" detonated across every feed faster than you could say "luxury positioning." This wasn't marketing. This was economic theatre disguised as congratulations.

Here's how they schooled the competition:

The Pre-Game Playbook: Rolex had their creative assets locked and loaded before the first serve. While other brands were hunting for their social media passwords, Rolex owned the post-match rush within 15 minutes of match point. They story-boarded every possible outcome like a Netflix series finale: win, lose, five sets, straight sets. Rolex had a creative for every scenario that didn't even happen.

Perfect Brand DNA: When your logo is literally a crown and you've been synonymous with excellence since 1905, "The crown is yours" doesn't feel like advertising copy -> it feels like destiny. $15,000 or even $100,000 watches don't need clever, they need inevitable. The genius isn't that it celebrates Alcaraz; it's that it makes every Rolex owner feel like they just won Roland Garros.

Most brands time the market. Rolex times the moment.

Your Kick in the Ass:
Stop Ignoring AI.

Your AI avoidance isn't noble resistance. It's economic suicide.

I'm scared shitless of AI too. But after watching Google's latest announcement, here's the math: While you're scrolling reels, someone else is using AI to get the internship you won’t have next year (Adam).

Google just released Veo 3, which cranks out Hollywood-level videos from text prompts. We're talking million-dollar production value from a sentence. If you think your industry is immune, you have the strategic vision of a hedge fund manager in 2008.

This isn't about technology. It's about economic Darwinism.

The job market is splitting into two species: humans who leverage AI and humans who become extinct. You don't need a computer science degree. You need survival instincts.

Download ChatGPT. Use it to write better emails, generate ideas, explain shit you don't understand. Stop waiting for permission to stay relevant or asking your buddy at work how to set up a Teams meeting.

Your homework: Pick one AI tool this week. Use it. The alternative is watching your career become as obsolete as Ramsay’s humbleness.

the end.

Meet Your Founders: Ramsay & Adam Let's be honest: 99% of career advice comes from people who either haven't worked a real job in decades or are selling you something. Ramsay and Adam aren't those people. They're Brand Management students- which, let's face it, is a fancy way of saying they're learning how to make people buy shit they don't need. Here's what separates these two from every other LinkedIn optimization guru: they actually give a damn about leaving the world better than they found it. Revolutionary concept, right? While their peers are grinding for Goldman Sachs or chasing crypto fantasies, Ramsay and Adam figured out something the data actually supports: the most successful people aren't just climbing ladders — they're building them for others. The math is simple: help others win, and you win bigger. They've seen inside the #1 Beauty company in the world, they know how the sausage gets made. And instead of just cashing checks and updating their resumes, they decided to create something that matters: a newsletter that tells young people the truth about building careers in an economy that's rigged against them. No fluffy motivation. No "follow your passion" bullshit. Just real talk from two guys who are living the intern-2-CEO journey in real time, sharing what actually works and calling out what doesn't. Because here's the uncomfortable truth backed by actual data: if you're under 40, you're getting screwed. College costs have exploded 1,200% since 1980 while wages stayed flat. The average 30-year-old today has half the wealth their parents had at the same age. But here's the flip side most doom-scrollers miss: you're also the most educated, globally connected, and technologically empowered generation in human history. The question isn't whether the system is rigged: it is. The question is what you're going to do about it. Real talk. No Bullshit.
